ABOUT

Welcome.

Cards That Talk originated from my work with individuals and families, where I saw how important social connection is in our overall health and well-being.

While our devices can help us feel connected in some ways, increasingly, research is showing how they are allowing us to disconnect from human interaction in its truest form – communicating.

These cards can be used to facilitate conversations and deepen connections between people. That includes members of a family, those within romantic relationships, friendships, classmates, colleagues … the list goes on.

They are intended to extend conversations further than the usual topics. How many of you have asked your children how their day was to receive a single word response, “good”. How about those dreaded ice-breaker activities? “Tell us your name, how you found yourself here and one interesting fact about yourself”… (I can feel your eye-roll from here).

The great thing about these cards is that they can fit into your life in a way that suits you. For example, you might choose to schedule an intimate time to explore these questions, choose one question as your focus for the week or include them in your dinnertime or bedtime routines.

As always, I would love to see how you use your cards and welcome any feedback you have.

Happy talking.
